Were we watching 2 movies in 1?

Warning: Spoilers
The film started out as a nice story showing the struggles of Bachu trying out different hustles, then after the climax it felt like we were watching a totally different movie...

DELICIOUS

-We appreciated the story illustrating a young businessman going from one venture to another, changing his philosophy just to make money. He was a hustler!

-Bachu's optimism was admirable with his determination to stay back in India to make something of himself; not everything is greener on the other side.

A spotlight on Bushra (Bachu's sister). She was a fearless and strong woman, which was good to see as generally, female characters tend to be portrayed as weak, fearful, and silent.

BLAND

-Pre-climax, the story centered on Bachu and his struggle to find a stable business. Post-climax, the story now focused on funeral arrangements.

Where was the Bachu who was hustling and trying to make it in life? Why didn't the film show him look for an online business when the town on lockdown? How did the funeral engagement factor into the equation?

-Overall, we never witnessed a growth in Bachu's character.

One can argue that taking leadership over the funeral arrangements was proof of his growth, but we can counterargue that the only reason he did so was to fulfill his responsibility in order to be well-perceived in the community.

We were really hoping that the film could have taken us to higher heights, but alas...
