The brilliant Lauren Weedman steals this episode. Doris is such a great character and Weedman gets the chance to explore Doris' complex history in Looking for A Plot. This show is consistently cleverly written and authentic. Going back home to Modesto for her father's funeral, Doris fights her feelings, as Patrick and Dom are there to support her. It's a realistic depiction of a return to the hometown she and Dom once desperately dreamed of escaping. So many great moments.
When Malik shows up at the hospital, it's so touching, Doris finally cried. (Would LOVE to know how they did that car scene!) My favorite episode in the series. Will always love these people.
