Where to start? What a disaster... If anyone gives this a high rating the heatwave's got to them or they're part of the crew.
First off the premise is really stupid and unbelievable, errant, disgusting royal is sent to Oz to win them over from becoming a republic, really?
Secondly the writing was so lazy and poor, terrible dialogue that was coarse and unfunny and very predictable.
Thirdly her character was entirely unlikeable, which wouldn't have been a problem if her character was funny at any point.
Production values were poor and it looked cheaply and quickly made.
Some of the jokes directed at one of the Asian actors were borderline racist and bought to mind Jim Davidson and Roy Chubby Brown - very poor judgement by the producers.
Catherine Tate can be very funny but certainly isn't here. If you want to watch a royal comedy head for 'The Windsors' on C4 catchup its a zillion times funnier.
