Eye For Eye is an okay western I saw on Amazon. It does not deserve 9 or 10 star reviews like it is Shane or The Big Country, but it is not a dog of a film that deserves 1 or 2 stars either. It falls in between. If someone has seen westerns before, they know the story. Bad guys sent by a wealthy man kill a wife and her husband ( Sheriff Reagan) seeks revenge. He also very quickly falls in love with a widow named Lola with a son. Gunmen From Laredo immediately comes to mind ( except there it was a half Indian/Mexican woman named Rosetta ( played by the beautiful Maureen Hingert) instead of a Mexican-American that Reagan falls for). The best part of the movie was the scenery that was very well done. Finally Does Reagan end up with Lola? Spoilers ahead. Of course he does and the bad guys are taken care of ( although not all by Reagan ( including one killed by Lola)). Again an ok western but not as good as Gunmen From Laredo, which is a classic "B" Western. Again as an ok movie Eye for Eye gets 5/10 stars from me.
