As some other reviewers pointed out, this episode was a little awkward. Nancy Marchand, who played Livia, had suddenly died. As a result, they had to make an episode about Livia who had died, but without the actress!
What to do?
They solved it by filming Livia from behind so they could use a stand-in with same hairdo. Also, Livia's head was edited into some scenes, where I think they used her head from scenes of seasons 1 and 2, particularly because she doesn't say anything.content-related in the conversation with Tony. What she says is all very general and would be applicable in any situation.
Understandably, this all.makes up for a not-so-typical Sopranos episode that wasn't very compelling.
