So, you're probably looking at my review's title wondering what it means. Turns out that based on your preferences you might think that they nailed the makeup/filters that they used on ALL of the female actors and some of the male actors (in certain scenes).
For ALL of the closeups on the women they used that HD TV makeup plus a combination of filters to make their skin look smooth. Now, you can chalk that up to them trying to show that werewolves just have "good" skin, but when non-werewolves get the same treatment, that sort of blows that hypothesis.
The makeup looks really unnatural in a lot of cases but is really jarring when the filter drops, and you can see details that were otherwise blocked (smoothed) out.
I know, I know, it seems like such an odd thing to point out. However, considering all of the other issues the show has, you can either view it as a good thing or a bad thing, again, based on your viewpoint.
In summary, just another teen "horror" drama with no teeth...
