Saw this a while back (2015 I think...) despite having it on DVD for so many years before & thought it would be a good watch. How wrong I was...
The film sees 7 party guests on New Year's Eve, who are invited to an after party on the abandoned floor of an office building, handpicked to play a series sadistic and deadly puzzles.
I found the film to start of with to be ace, it was gory, violent, had some great traps & was pretty dark & scary looking in places. But, the ending, the ending was a complete let down & the fact that the woman acted in a vindictive manner was what made it insulting. I didn't like it at all.
The film reminded me of the Saw Films, but crossed with riddles. The story, gore & gruesome kills were great, but the ending let it down substantially. It really was sad, because I was considering keeping this flick on DVD.
Overall, it's a film that went from promising & ace, to flat out disappointing & distasteful. The story, gore, traps & violence were great despite the paper thin characters. The ending though to the story as with the vindictive female character though was what made this flick go from a potential 8/10 to a measly 3/10. Watch this, but be prepared to be disappointed by the end.
