A film that follows some conservationists looking to record evidence of drop-bear like creatures called carnifex, which are like prehistoric. The film is shot well, and some nice landscapes but the characters lack any interesting traits, the actors are mediocre and bring nothing to the table. The fact that there is a UNIVERSAL studios logo at the start of this film baffles me. Most of movie you barely even get a glimpse of the creature. Its so slow-paced and all they do is talk and talk and talk and it's just expositional dialogue explaining about all the science. It's quite a boring movie, there is no excitement, no stakes, no turning points. This is terrible writing, terrible casting and horrible directing. The Director is an editor - so that says a lot. Another reason why Aussies seem to fail at storytelling, a basic fundamental of most societies.
