In a simplistic drama, everyone would have got together and come up with the perfect solution to all problems. But life is not that way and intelligent people are not that simple. What Birgitte was able to do was take the energy to fuel her eventual platform but realize there are roadblocks. The banker who could have funded the whole thing is cast aside and they are forced to be creative. Every liberal issue is out there, but when you have too much, you lose all the focus. The TV guy is going to be blowing his stack at some point. He has been forced to become beholden to the jerk who is his superior, but, for now, has no backbone. If he is thinking straight, he would see that he will eventually be cast aside to substitute the news with Perry Mason reruns. I thought, while not dramatic, this was a very good episode.
