This is a well made film and I found it difficult to pinpoint why I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. The visual effects are excellent, the acting solid, the characters interesting, the production design and costumes are excellent, the pacing is mostly good with only occasional dips. So what's wrong? It's the motivation. The characters do things that I could not understand why they were doing it. They switched opinions and changed sides and went places for no reason. I was also disappointed that we didn't see the big bad Abaddon. Also some of the fight choreography felt slow. If you can simply accept the characters actions then the film would be far more entertaining as there is some humour and some action!
