I watched this movie after Avery Kristen Pohl joined the cast of General Hospital as Esme Prince. Overall this movie is terrible. Most of the actors sound like they're reading the script as if it were right in front of them. The delivery of their lines sounds very forced with hardly any emotion. The actor who plays the boyfriend, Lance, is especially bad. A lot of the older adult actors have sub-par performances as well.
Taylor Blackwell, who plays the protagonist, Sierra, isn't bad, but Avery Pohl is the star of the show. Her performance is a bit over-the-top, but it works well for her character, Lexi (the titular "psycho friend"), who becomes increasingly unhinged as the movie goes on. She goes from a "mean girl" at the beginning to a full-on murderous psycho by the end. I have a feeling that her performance as Lexi was what landed her the role of Esme on General Hospital, as the two characters have a lot of traits in common. But if you don't watch GH, you likely won't be familiar with her.
So yeah, this movie is pretty bad. The plot itself is actually okay, it's mainly the acting that makes this movie forgettable.
