Miss FLAT - Mr FUNNY
7 September 2023
The fundamental premise of the storyline and the characterizations of the principal figures exhibit promise, yet they suffer from inadequate development. Consequently, the narrative lacks a captivating progression. The screenplay, although protracted, has moments of brilliance interspersed with moments of mediocrity, but the majority of scenes fall flat. Few comedic sequences elicit laughter few are downright dull. The emotional aspect of the film also fails to convincingly connect with the audience.

The director's efforts seem minimal, as if the cinematographer and actors adhered strictly to the script. Naveen Polishetty delivers a commendable performance, occasionally veering into overacting but generally displaying skill.

Anuska, on the other hand, is a competent actress with a strong on-screen presence. While she excels in roles like Arundathi and Baghamathi, she appears less capable when tackling characters of a different nature. It's noticeable that extensive visual effects have been employed to enhance her appearance.

The musical score leaves much to be desired, while the cinematography is passable.

In sum, it is a subpar film that might find a place among the offerings on OTT platforms.
