"BS HIGH" REVIEW
9 September 2023
Directed by Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe. A runtime of one hour and thirty-five minutes. Streaming on MAX.

This is about Roy Johnson the man, the myth, the legend. This documentary follows how Roy originally from New York turned someone else's idea for a charter school into his own. Partnering with Co-Founder of COF Academy John Branham Sr.

Then turning this already huge mission of starting a school into a whole new high school. Naming it Bishop Sycamore Centurions based out of Columbus Ohio.

You follow what happens when a Narcissist/ egomaniac mixed with a scammer has an idea. Then planting his idea seed in the soil of a corrupt garden. All I can say is sit back, buckle up, and get ready to see what grows. In this wild documentary.

"BS HIGH" was pure madness. Roy Johnson was made for the screen. Roy was wrong in everything he did. One of the most shady people. Who believed he wasn't bad, he was just playing by the rules in a corrupt system. Yes, high school sports might have a lot of corruption. But let's call a spade a spade. If you're scamming wether what the reason is, it's still a scam.

Regardless of all of Roy's hardships and willingness to go down the wrong road. He is entertaining nonetheless. A true showman. Roy knows he's a narcissist and has about six other adjectives to go with it. But that won't stop him from giving you a world-class performance.

The things he did were wild. The fact he was able to take an idea and make it his own. Then actually get kids to be a part of a fake high school. Is astonishing on its own. Then you take it a step further and have the students as well whether knowingly or not be a part of the scam. Scamming so well that he gets a game with a powerhouse charter school on ESPN. Where it all falls apart.

There is one thing Roy got right while talking. He is determined. He pulled off some unrealistic things. Roy had to scam to do so but still, he pulled a lot off. Maybe if he used some of his infinity stones the right way. He could have done a lot of good with time.

Let's be clear though he might want you to think he's the good guy in all of this. He's Robin Hood, taking from the rich and giving back to the poor. But in reality, more than being a scammer he's an attention whore first.

If I said everything that happened in this documentary you wouldn't believe me. That's how wild it was. MAX hit it out of the park with this one. It was so wild, funny, and entertaining. I was glued from the beginning to the end. Then the ending itself was just crazy. Seeing what Roy and the kids are up to know is bittersweet. If you have a free hour and a half check this out. You won't be sorry. I give this five mor fires 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
