I remember watching this 2019 series "Swamp Thing" back when it was new and just aired. And while I never have been one to read the DC comics, then of course I am familiar with the character. And I was recommended to sit down and watch "Swamp Thing" back when it was just released, and thus I did.
The storyline in "Swamp Thing" is good, and it is a script and storyline that you quickly get submerged into, because it has both a nice and interesting narrative, but also a great character gallery. So the writers really pulled their weight here and made this into a rather enjoyable viewing experience.
The acting performances in "Swamp Thing" are good, as there are some nicely cast actors and actresses on the cast list, with the likes of Crystal Reed, Virginia Madsen, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Will Patton, Ian Ziering and Kevin Durand. Lots of familiar faces on the cast list, putting on good performances to bring the characters and story to life on the screen.
Now, something that really impressed me about "Swamp Thing" was the special effects and the way things looked in the episodes. The special effects were good and really brought the creature to life on the screen nicely, and made the world in which the story takes place seem vibrant and it feels like the audience is right there alongside the characters. The special effects and visual effects in "Swamp Thing" really elevated the show for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed this 2019 series, despite it running for a single season only.
