Captain Smiley wants me to debrief you

Quark and Rom go on a rescue mission to the mirror universe.

This could be an entertaining episode if the humour works for you, but I personally struggle with it.

When the premise is "let's do one last Ferengi or Mirror Universe episode" you suspect the writers might be less focussed on plot and more on giving actors the opportunity to have fun with certain versions of their characters. This certainly feels the case with this one.

The use of Nog is relatively good as he is presented as being quite baffled with the mirrorverse as most viewers probably were by this point in Star Trek's running.

There are some enjoyable aspects like seeing the mirror versions of characters like Kira and Ezri who entertain by being so different. I quite like the appearance of Vic Fontaine.

I find others like Garak, Worf and Bashir to be quite irritating. The actors do their best, but have no material to work with and little but their OTT performances to generate laughs. Unfortunately this is combined with Wallace Shawn's Negus, whose voice grates on me even in the good Ferengi stories.

Comedy is in the eye of the beholder so others may enjoy it more if it appeals to their sense of humour.
