I believe many people are unfairly giving this movie poor reviews because it conflicts with normal western perspectives. However, if you have an open mind, some patience and understanding, and at least a little appreciation for the paranormal, I think you will see this movie is actually quite beautiful and deeply moving, especially the end. Sol Seppy is deep.
The characters seem mostly honest and authentic, which is quite refreshing and, at times, funny. There were some scenes that also seemed accidentally funny because the camera work, music/special effects, and dialog were over-the-top weird. But this only added to the experience.
Overall, it was a great movie. I don't know what else to say without giving away the plot. Just sit down and watch. The material doesn't matter as much as the meaning. Keep that in mind.
