Enjoyed Blanche's fond recollections. It's funny how a little thing like that can bring back such wonderful memories. The "go for the meat" comment made me laugh because that was the best way to win. I didn't realize it at the time but the shows were taped at the Food Fair chain of supermarkets. We had one just a few miles away from where we were living at the time. I'd give anything to relive just one day back then so I could fully appreciate the joy of being a child in a wonderful time. Have always had this thing about supermarkets, even as a toddler. Seem to recall that the contestants were timed and had to grab as many items as possible and the person with the most value in her cart would be the winner. Fun show.
