This was no lynching. The 3 were murdered by gunshots. This was an aggressive invasion. I watched it unfold. The people in Neshoba County didn't want invaders in their communities. I watched as the cars go up & down the highway looking for the car. I watched the trials on local tv newscasts. I watched as marchers in the streets, the confrontations on both sides. Nobody liked goatee. I was glad that Judge Marcus Gordon sentenced Edgar Killen to prison.
More horrific was the murder of Kathy Ainsworth in Meridian. She & a fellow klansman who tried to firebomb the Jewish home of a major anti-defamation league leader. She was a pregnant fifth grade teacher in Jackson. It was an FBI sting. Not one movie has been made of that horrendous murder!
