One of the poorest TV movies I've seen in a while. Plot was lacking any real quality of excitement or interest. Far too formulaic with little to redeem it. The plot twists were more like slight wrinkles.
Continuity seemed poor as well. The box that held the uniform jacket kept changing size. Looked like a shirt box in several shots, then miraculously gets thick enough to hold a uniform jacket. The plot focused on the jacket, yet you rarely saw it in any detail.
The romantic subplot with the lead's friend and the soldier was the only highlight.
Actors looked like they were going through the motions, which is not up to their usual standard.
The "Christian" theme at the end was heavy-handed and unnecessary, especially given the secular discussion of fate earlier in the movie.
