Review of Conjugal Visit

Unlike other Iranian films that I have seen in the last year, the film does not become boring. Although the time of the movie is two hours, and from the beginning of the movie you can guess what the story is going to be, but it remains unpredictable until the last moment. The good acting of Parinaz and Hutan, the good chemistry between them, made a film that neither indulged in its romance nor in its excitement and apprehension. The movie does not have unnecessary scenes, the amateur actors play their roles well, but I wish Iman would have acted better. The toilet sequence was great. After Farhad's freedom, each sequence adds a point to the film to reach the beautiful and sad message of the end of the film. The editing, lighting, and music of the film are all well organized and complete the product.
