Warning: Spoilers
I like choosing quotes for titles but I was absolutely spoiled for choice in this episode.

We finally get more background on Jim (and a genuine smile from them!), which shows the way these creators love playing with classic stories and tropes: the rogue revenge-seeking cowboy type? Classic. And 10 times more interesting transposed into a tropical world of pirates and blended with the 'trained killer' storyline. I adore Nana wholeheartedly but she also terrifies me.

For a show that doesn't care about accents I love that they do care enough to have some subtitled Spanish. And dear Oluwande, you had a rough go of it in this one but you tried really hard and are an absolute gem.

Stede's little adventurer outfit was so embarrassing but I wouldn't trade it for all the world, it was a masterful costuming choice based purely on *vibes*, just as Stede himself would make clothing-based decisions. And I love his comment to Jim about not really wanting to give them the orange - lest we forget that at his core Stede is an only child.

Love that we continue to see character's flaws. Stede, in the above, and then Ed's rudeness about the outing. Thank goodness Lucius was there to knock sense into him because I wanted to slap him. Which, I suppose, is how you know the storytelling is really effective.

Special shout out to Rhys and Taika's improvised Bar & Grill dialogue. Lucius was all of us in that scene. Ideal, fly on the wall, front row seat.

And of course, the plot thickens! Thrilled to see Rory Kinnear again. Though, where I would want to be a fly on the wall at Stede's campfire, you couldn't pay me to have drinks with Jackie, Izzy, and Admiral Badminton. The toxicity!

Anyway, here's to co-captains.
