The best part about this episode? Hands down, it's Rose Abdoo playing Special Agent Daisy Van Zant, a cold case investigation specialist who is brought in when a body from way back in 2003 is discovered in a car that has been uncovered out of a lake.
To be honest, the actual case wasn't hugely interesting and "Maybe Today" will be another one of those largely forgettable episodes...except for the scenes where Agent Van Zant was on screen. She is definitely one of the more memorable guest stars I can remember. Especially when bantering back and forth with Callen and Sam.
It's a shame NCIS: Los Angeles is ending. Wish the writers had come up with this character (parts of which reminded me a little of Leroy Jethro Gibbs) earlier in the show's life.
