Loki: Breaking Brad (2023)
Season 2, Episode 2
8/10
What an ending!
7 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was less focused on the side of kang however it was more emotional as it showed us the reunion of Loki and Sylvie with a slight awkwardness showing how things have changed following the last season. We also get a lot of comedy with Brad and of course mobius. Loki feels more tension as he unleashes his slight more villainous side of him we all know. We also get to see a lot more of his powers in this episode really giving him a time to shine. Mobius also breaks free bus chains as he shows his emotions of the idea of his other life he feels scared to talk about it however he opens up a bit more explaining his reasons for it. Casey really shows the less naive side of him as he shows his devotion and intelligence which has grown since the last season. However one bad note was the ending of this episode which resulted in the death of trillions of people from the pruning of timelines. But this is underused as if we think back to thanos' snap he killed around 4 billion people less than we see in this episode however that brought more emotion. In this scene we only see the reactions of everyone in the TVA to this so we don't feel emotional because unlike infinity war we weren't connected to any of the people who died at least we think since we didn't see any action of the pruning of timelines. I feel it would've brought more emotion if there was a side story of someone who lived in one of those timelines and then we see them dying or if we just saw a few scenes of people dying however all we see is a chart of lines. Overall, I really love this season soo far as it is building on the characters however some of the plot is underused.
