Warning: Spoilers
By far the best of the early Bergmans, and the one with the most powerful performances.

The discussion of abortion here also seems destined for that later Brink of Life.

The camera compositions are still perfect and textbook, the only downside feels like it doesn't have enough thematic intent and it doesn't yet make this duo very utopian, wanting to run away just because a friend died once.

(Why snitch on abortionists, is this Bergman's political compromise)
