We got an interesting scene with Carol that set the stage for the second season, but overall this episode was kind of a mess.
Having the villain just decide to spare Daryl and company at the last second and then vow to not do it next time made no sense.
Daryl killing a thousand zombies with ease on the beach was just an odd visual. We had enough action, we needed some good storytelling here.
I don't know if the show is fixable, but this was such a weak follow-up to The Walking Dead. Dead City at least had a little personality and some shock value. This really never got going off the ground, just my take.
