This storyline is fine, with quite an original subplot. However despite the fictional big business bucks, this is not a big budget, polished movie. It is clunky and awkward in many ways, but Christmas, family and love often are too so I can handle the style as the plot makes up for it. Substitute the cat for a dog and the cute factor would have gone up a notch as they generally have more potential in scripts than felines. Since the quiet of covid lockdowns, I prefer these generally smaller casted movies - although we do get more characters as the show progresses, which is quite unusual / original.
