The Funeral Mass
6 December 2023
Morgan is missing and the CSIs do not find any evidence in Oliver Tate's apartment. The traffic cameras show two identical SUV in the area and Nick and Greg stopped the decoy. Greg runs inside the storage room and find a blonde woman inside a room, but it is not Morgan. Nick and he process the scene while Brass and Ecklie press Jack to know where their daughters are. Finn is processing Tate's apartment searching for evidence when the reporter John Merchiston arrives and tells her that a Bible was left at the door of his hotel room. They find a vial with blood and a flash driver and instruction for him to go to Tate's apartment. Finn plugs the flash drive into her notebook and there is a video of Morgan. She says that the CSIs have six hours to decide who shall live: Ellie or her.

"The Devil and D. B. Russell" is the first episode of the Fourteenth Season of "CSI", with the conclusion of the last episode. The plot is a little confused, with the appearance of a new character and new deaths. The motive for the complicated murders is not well-explained and disappoints. Ellie's is a despicable character and has the fate she deserved. Her last attitude shows how sick she is. The funeral mass is a catch for the viewers to hold their attention from the beginning. My vote is eight.
