For episode after episode this series delivers an enticing mix of thriller and medical drama.
The thriller strand propels the characters forward with frenetic plotting and twists and turns aplenty. This was all pretty compelling, so the occasional plot hole was forgiven, or sometimes was explained later.
Kang So-ra deserves to be singled out for her touching performance as one of the two women in love with the hero. Meanwhile her rival's shifting allegiances and constant dissembling made it impossibly hard to root for her.
Unfortunately the final episode fails to deliver. First, the wrong woman won the hero! But that's just my biased opinion, so perhaps I should rise above that. More problematic, though, is the last action scene, which simply does not work. Shame.
