I saw the trailer & had higher hopes. Visually interesting, what would Barbie be like if she existed in her own pink world. Who is a Ken in that world.
I like that she is having an existential crisis. Children can enjoy it while missing the Man woman dominance, feminist, maybe pick up on the Learn to be yourself theme.
I like the fantasy surreal Barbie world and the real world. Some io it was murky. Mattel wants to keep Barbie in a box. Knowing that Barbie and Ken live in an alternate universe. They do mention that they don't have genitals.

As I understand, since Barbie was a grown up fashion doll, she had to have long legs & a tiny waist to dress her in tiny fashion outfits, not because they were pushing unreal body types.
