We are reintroduced to Reacher after a hiatus. In the first five minutes he discovers a woman being extorted by a bad guy who is holding her son hostage. He destroys the guy and walks away, leaving the victim all she needs for the police. But the big thing is the death of a dear friend and former special operations guy. Also, finding contact with his team seems nearly impossible. We spend most of the first episode going from place to place with him and woman who is also part of the team. He uses methods of deduction when he spots anything which makes everything more cerebral. He knows that no matter what he does, he is in the left leaning camp. Nice segue into Season 2.
