So far I believe they are doing a pretty good job bringing to life a world as complicated and expansive as The Wheel of Time books. Honestly as a lover of the books the compression of parts of the story and the changes irk me sometimes but the show is so good that I easily get past it. It's not perfect but a damn good adaptation.
Now for the low review people. I really believe that most (not all) but most are too bothered by some of the main characters being adapted as people of color by the writers. If it bothers them that much than I am sure they got bigger issues going on than changes to a fantasy series for tv adaptation. However, they will definitely not be honest about their "fears" and will just criticize little things and ratings bomb it.
