Jericho Ridge (2023)
It is not the first and certainly won't be the last
28 December 2023
Since ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, back in 1976, there were batches of films that we can consider as rip-offs, many many, many, the latest being COP SHOP, more or less the same as this one; more or less, directed by the confirmed Joe Carnahan, which was more interesting than this predictable one. And because we are living now the famous WOKE period, the lead strong character is of course a Black woman. I have absolutely nothing against it, I just notice, that's all. That said, this little B film, action movie, is an agreeable flick, very enjoyable, but for an old timer like me, a movie buff since fifty five years now, there is nothing exceptional in the script. Now, the directing is efficient, taut.
