I'm still waiting for the punchline. There is supposed to be a Christmas miracle to be had in this story, but I fail to see it. In contrast to some of the reviewers, I actually enjoyed the first 30 minutes of this film, but then it fell flat and never recovered.

I don't fully understand what transpired, but the whole story became a mundane narrative focusing on two co-workers who are searching for the most exciting and heartfelt Christmas miracle drama story to share with their boss, the magazine editor. But the story is not exciting and the way it's told is lackluster. We are taken on a journey that is anything but fun, and there is no emotion from either one of the leads. They are simply going through the motions. And her best friend, was she for real? She seemed like an angel on the sidelines giving free advice. Her character was inconsequential.

I was not inspired by anything. Their boss was trying to be something of a grinch who stole the Christmas miracle, and she turns out to be one of the more interesting characters, and yet totally not a likable person whatsoever. And the musician, he's an old grinch and maybe he's the focal point of the story, but his situation is not that exciting, but rather depressing. And when they bring it all to a close, there is little to no impact and I didn't feel invested in whatever this was. I'm trying so hard to describe what it is about 'A Christmas Miracle' that misses the mark. For lack of specifics, I'd have to say everything about it misses the mark. I was simply not entertained, moved, touched, or anything of the kind. I didn't shed any tears or laugh. I felt no inspiration or yearning. Did they kiss at the end? Of course they did, but they shouldn't have, because there was no romance or shared attraction before, during, or after it.
