Aren't we going to talk about the teenager who's bring unfair?
30 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
We should talk about apologetic parents with inconsiderate teenagers. I've seen enough teenage hormones or selfish decisions causing the conflict of the story. .

No, it's not the parents' fault every time. The mother's sacrificing herself and being with the family to save the world while the father's getting ammends with his incapacity and almost lost his life from a stroke. Girl, give your parents a break and be the support they both need.

Do they do this as a way to be more appealing to a younger audience? And then the episode closes with a flashback of Emma making the tough decision to get the baby after she just almost gave her life away in a previous scene? Neither my millennial self nor my gen z niece get it.

If there's any consolation I'm just sooo glad Matt did not respond to Lex when she said "I'm sorry" when meeting each other in the hospital after the accident. If he said anything to the effect of "no don't be" or "it's my fault" i would have moved on to the next series entirely.

This certainly feels like a filler episode to add more context to each of the main characters' background; as if we haven't already had enough at this point.
