Suspend scepticism

This was a lovely series full of Swedish whimsy. Yes, there were dark strands but these didn't intrude into the ridiculousnrss of it all. Situations were impossible as were the detective and prosecutorial work. Somehow it didn't matter.

It was a smart piece of writing to make the false reasons for seeking asylum match the real reason for Ibraahin's flight. I'd actually guessed this would turn out to be the case and it was a glimpse of a world far from liberal Sweden, a country that, nonetheless, sends refugees back to their fates.

There were three cases over the six episodes. That was nicely rounded and allowed time for some development amongst the ongoing themes and strands.

Season two is clearly coming. I shall be looking out for it.
