That's It! I had to create an account on IMDb just to talk about this episode.

For me, it's tragic. It is tragic to see a lifeless existence like Kendall Roy.

The photography in this episode used shots against him that seemed suffocating, he is being watched at all times and he knows it. His off-camera actions (drugs and theft) demonstrate, in my view, an escape valve, a call to his being to have some kind of control and power again. Jeremy Strong's performance left me in tears, it was heartbreaking to see so closely and with such a magnificent performance, the nuances of a depressive phase.

Of course he is a fictional character and a billionaire, but still within his personality in complex and at the same time subtle ways, so full of pride as we know initially, asking Shiv for help was like a cry for help. Between the lines, a desperate attempt to return to life. This subtlety that the writers and the actor gave to an action that seemed like an act of desperation could not have impacted me as much if it had been someone screaming for help. I'm speechless, for me it's the highlight of this episode.

The power play between Tom and Greg are also things to pay attention to, the feeling it gives me is that Tom reflects certain problems he faces in his marriage with Shiv, in the friendship-business relationship with Greg, he wants to be loved, prestigious, someone who recognizes him, who is there for him, when he understands that the family he tries so hard to impress or be part of doesn't treat him the way he wants. And the lack of control shown when his expectations are dissolved in front of him shows a child who has not yet developed emotional intelligence.

The name of the episode being Safe Room couldn't be more accurate, where it doesn't talk about the Safe Room itself, but the desperation and desire that each character has within themselves and that needs to be contained, protected and supported in some way. Like with Shiv, where she's desperately trying to get into business in this episode and being held back several times by Logan, she seems to want to be liked, wants to belong, wants to show her worth but always seems to be pushed into self-isolation.

I don't think I'll ever forget this episode, it touched me in so many ways.
