Saying I found 'Day of the Warrior' the most entertaining chapter of the Andy Sidaris collection is not a comment you should think about too deeply, but hear me out. Every entry follows an action formula where the saving grace is often the females on display, but here there's a little bit more. Ridiculous villain, many funny / corny moments and lots of Julie K. Smith.
L. E. T. H. A. L's mainframe is hacked putting undercover agents infiltrating the operations of ex-CIA man Warrior (Marcus Bagwell) at risk. Willow Black (Julie Strain) must not only alert her people, but the entire team including Tiger (Shae Marks) must takedown the baddie & expose a mole within. Scorpion (Tammy Parks) is posing as a pornstar while Cobra (Julie K Smith) is an exotic dancer.
There were more moments here that made me laugh or smile than I want to admit. Julie Strain having a meeting while working out on a Stairmaster in a thong bodysuit. A bit involving an endangered owl. Series face Gerald Okamura doing a Vegas-like Elvis impersonation. A real life pro wrestler portraying a bad guy pro wrestler. His face paint, the fighting, acting - the "delicious" line delivery especially. Silly computer screens. That's not even touching on the series usual array of stock footage, big boobs, bad acting, an obsession with cars, boats & airplanes.
The former Penthouse Pet JKS gets showcased a ton. Strips during the opening credits showcasing this flick isn't going to waste any time. Then goes topless twice in addition to a shower sex scene and in a bikini poolside. The enhanced Playmate Marks is a sight to behold topless & in one requisite sex number. Parks, Raye Hollitt & Christiva Turner supply more topless fun. Lastly Strain gets sexed and topless once.
'Day of the Warrior' still has the low level action the series was known for, but an increase in humor - some intentional, some not - elevate the standard Sidaris formula. Plus a healthy quota of nudity and Strain & Okamura get to fight for the side of good for once too.
