Interesting set up, Church is indeed a mixed bag for most of us - and the issue of fundraising money versus selling artefacts / land is complicated. What is often overlooked is that congregants contributed to these things for a reason and selling them might be disrespectful as we don't necessarily know their reasons. However the church is often inconsiderate of people's struggles now and frequently expects too much from them when they have other responsibilities. This episode portrays many things wrong with the church, but it could have balanced that with the uplifting activities that many church volunteers do eg feeding the homeless etc. The establishment is so much more than officials, it's the stories of everyday people that really matter.
