I am so happy thry managed to nail the finale episode and make it tense, exciting, shocking and emotional! I pretty much got some of the same feelings as when watching the cartoon, while other parts made me feel different, but in a good way!
This was a cinematic experience! I felt like watching a movie! Everything was TOP quality! The action was great, the level of destruction was convincing and Aangs legendary Avatar state, was just as crazy as I hoped for!
All the themes and storylines came together nicely! They did a great job of showing the burden of being The Avatar, themes of sacrifice etc!
The characters only got better and really grew on me once i got used to them!
Overall a surprisingly good adaptation! The smutte material is legendary, but I think they did a great job! I am actually excited for future seasons! Perhaps a 10 episode season for book two, and then have book 3 split in two, to give them time to do the final episodes justice!
