Avatar: The Last Airbender: Aang (2024)
Season 1, Episode 1
1/10
Horrible script, horrible acting
3 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I was shocked with the opening scene as it took us into action immediately, so it was too much too fast. And then when I heard the firebender emperor speak, I realized oh no, this show is crap. The lines he spoke were as if a child wrote them. And the plot is very naive and unbelievable. So what if they had the firebender's plans, any reasonable person will know that they know that the earthbenders now have their plans, so the plans are going to change.

And then we go to Aang, whose acting is so bad that I couldn't make myself waste anymore of my time on this Netflix garbage. Why not start the show exactly as the animated show is besides me. Why show Aang in his past, instead of where he begins in the anime, it is just beyond comprehension. We don't need to see what exactly happened to the airbenders. Why? Because Netflix writers can't create anything new and good, all they can do is copy source material and make it bad. Like they did with the Witcher and now this.

They had a hit with One Piece because the creator had the last say and full creative control. But here the creators of Avatar left and it shows very much.

I will not be watching this horror of a show. I don't care about the CGI if it is good or not, the dialogue and acting need to be good for me to be invested into a story, and the subpar level of the writing and acting constantly brings me out of the show.

The show for kids called The New Adventures of Monkey is better than this, and I enjoyed watching it. But I can't get myself to waste any more time on this.

Goodbye Netflix, I hope this flops so you learn a lesson.
