While definitely not the "best" when it comes to TV, season one is better than what I've seen so far in season 2.
They've done everything to ramp up the fake tension, with little regard to if it makes sense or not:
1) Running down the middle of a road when there are NUMEROUS options to avoid a chasing vehicle by simply running off the road
2) The protagonist's phone doesn't work, but the bad guy's seem to have sat phones because they can make calls at any time
3) Again, running out in the open when you know you're being chased, and then hanging from a cliffside instead of hiding - on top of that, after only minutes he's struggling to hold on. Anyone that's done a dead hang knows that it takes more than 1 or 2 minutes to tire you out.
There are more examples, but season 1 seemed to have a much lower number of these for the entire season, yet here in season 2, the first two episodes are packed with such nonsense.
