Italian mini-series and film at the same time with Claudia Cardinale

Director Luigi Comencini did the same thing with "La storia" (1986), which he presented as a feature film at the Venice Film Festival, but which was shown in West Germany as a mini-series. The fact that the film was not shown in competition in Venice is said to have angered leading actress Claudia Cardinale. Not wrongly!
