The Sword That Kills
31 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
What an explosive episode ! Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira come in swinging. Beale gives us the Echelon Briefing, which provides long awaited reveals and payoffs. The whole scene was extremely tense and well done. The explosion, and how Rick and Michonne brought it together was a marvel to behold. I love the little flashbacks scenes we got, and even the camera pulling out over the little trailer where Rick and Michonne stood, like they did before in the pilot and other episodes like Mercy, where Negan and Gabe were trapped inside. Cool little throwbacks. For something years in the making, the episode, and the series as a whole, delivered all the thrills and the solid writing we'd come to expect. And of course, Rick reuniting with Judith was the best thing ever. Don't think otherwise, wow.
