Pat as John Drake never seemed more self-assured, capable and downright smug as here, outsmarting everyone and solving a thorny mystery with aplomb.
The issue is to make a positive identification of a defector scientist played by the great Mai Zetterling, as she or her purported younger sister is lying. Pat has to prove who is a fake and he's uncanny -even to the extent of praising himself for his abilities.
Tight direction by Seth Holt makes this one fly by without any dull spots. Zetterling bring great presence to her role, but doesn't have the opportunity to create a multi-dimensional character.
