Without question the subject should be told over and over again (keeping the promise to never forget) so that younger generations know what happened. But there's very little that's original here in HOW this particular story is told. We've seen this version before. Many times. Over-wrought, over-written - it feels like an old school, network movie of the week. For stronger, more human options with dimension - EUROPA, EUROPA comes to mind. Or A SMALL LIGHT. THE PIANIST. SCHINDLER'S LIST...not all of which are limited series of course but have characters that are complicated, distinct, and compelling.
