Two men enter a bar and kill a policeman ,the woman who runs the joint identifies 2 small time crooks as the killers and on the sole testimony of this woman of ill repute they get life even though the judge didnt agree with the verdict of the jury and supposedly was going to ask for a retrial. There are more holes in this story than swiss cheese. James Stewart plays a reporter who 11 years later is called to do the job that supposedly a totaly incompetent lawyer never did. The funniest thing is that the innocent victims of this affair are 2 but the reporter Stewart plays only bothers to help one of them and the movie forgets all about the other guy.
