Now that the writers strike is over let's see Season 2!! Never heard of the books but my son and I have really enjoyed Season 1. We were looking for something fresh and not another remake and we found it, just to hear that there wouldn't be a second season. I think they were really on to something and should consider moving forward. Casting is great and we were able to connect with them in Season 1. Hopefully they read our review and reconsider this. I think it reaches the gamers, techies and sci-fi audiences. I'm so tired of seeing all these remakes of movies. It's like the writers have writers block out something but this was something new and interesting and you need to pay attention to follow along and it's not predictable so it grabs your interest. Nobody wants to watch the same ol same ol... remade and you're going to get viewers by keeping them guessing and on the edge of their seat. That's what The Peripheral does. Another thing I think people enjoy is seeing the same actors threw out. When they made something really good and then the next one comes out and it's different actors that connection is broken or lost and isn't easy to follow and you lose interest. I really hope they change their mind and make other seasons... with the same actors.
