So much has been written about the magical cinematography, lighting and lead actors but I haven't seen much about the Italian actors. They were Magnifico!! If not for them the pace of the film might have been hard to bear. Every one of them had a distinct character and an interesting face. Inspector Ravini was particularly intriguing. His dialog was subtle - and even hilarious at times - and he played it with aplomb. The hotel front desk clerks were wonderful and distinctly memorable. All of the Italian supporting cast in minor roles were also delightful. Seeing the towns, the cities, the art, the roads, the homes, the architecture, the cars, was visually sumptuous. I'll be watching it a second time, just to see it all again and discover what I missed.
