I love Jeopardy!, I love Stephen Fry and I am Australian. So this should have been a slam dunk!
Well, not quite. The explaining of the rules might be necessary for episode one, but it does take the dynamic out of it. I imagine the vast majority of Jeopardy US viewers worked out the rules themselves.
Stephen Fry is his usual effable self, and does a good job. But it still feels stilted.
Also, I found out about this show through word of mouth. I'm the damn target audience and if they advertised it, it certainly didn't reach me. I have concerns the show might not have longevity, but I hope it does.
