The storyline of this movie seems to resemble another movie from the same franchise, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Dinosaur (2006). There is an unexpected cameo of Pisuke that only lasts for a few seconds, but it makes sense.

The movie introduces a new gadget, which is chocolate to tame wild animals, just like the momotaro peach from the first movie.
